Have you ever wondered, what’s the best age to visit the Orthodontist?

According to the American Association of Orthodontists, an orthodontist should see children by the age of seven. This is an important age for development, as many skeletal discrepancies or eruption patterns can be rectified early on without being too invasive. By this age, your child’s mouth has developed enough sound bone to know how it will develop as the permanent teeth emerge. Additionally, tracking growth and development before the commencement of puberty allows orthodontists to determine whether future treatment will be needed. Being seen by an orthodontist by age seven will also allow for any early treatment, also known as phase one treatment, to take place.
